February 15, 2005 – POWER IN THE NAME!
What a glorious name, the Lord Jesus Christ! Through that powerful name, I became a child of the living God. I have all the rights and the rich inheritance of God’s children through that name. I do not have a religion; I have a relationship with God as His child. His spirit resides within me and His word is my word; His works are my desire; His burdens are my prayer of intercession. I am not a God; I am a sinner saved by His grace. I am flesh that is being made perfect through that wondrous name. I am not yet perfected, but I live daily under divine protection, divine grace, and divine blessings. I am saved, sanctified, and satisfied, as others have described it.
I have an eternal home being prepared for me through faith in the name that is above all names! How do I know it is real? Because I daily experience His presence, and His spirit that dwells within me cries, “Abba father.” He has given me spiritual gifts as well as many material gifts—even though I do not deserve them. Daily I experience His love for me, and if I make a mistake or do something that does not please him, His spirit shows me the right way through the living word, Jesus Christ. I live under divine direction and one day I will be perfect in God’s sight. In the meantime, I am filled with His peace, His joy, His words and a reason for living that brings great satisfaction. God’s spirit has set my feet on a course for the fulfillment of His divine purpose and reason for my being. Yes, there is glorious power in Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Son of the living God. He is my life experience and it cannot be exhausted; it is an eternal light that will not go out. That light resides in me so that I no longer walk in darkness. Jesus Christ is the giver of light, life, truth, living water and the bread of life. We are complete in Him.
Revelations 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Through faith in the name of Jesus, we are redeemed from our sins and through Him we are accepted as God’s Beloved. Romans 10:6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?'” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?'” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.
Psalms 8:1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
He has the only name that has the power to save and forgive. Acts 4:10 Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’ 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” there are many names under heaven but Jesus is the only name given by God to redeem from sin. Matthew 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Psalms 54:1 Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.
Jesus Christ is not the only name under heaven that has the power to save us, but He is the only way through heaven’s gate. John 10:1 “I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. John 10:7 Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
Psalms 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Through the power of Jesus’ name we are a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! We are a new person with new desires, a new future and a new destination. Through that wonderful name we are sealed with the holy spirit to show that we are a child of God with a divine eternal destination and we will dwell in His presence.
Psalms 89:16 They rejoice in your name all day long; they exalt in your righteousness.
Revelations 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” There is eternal life in His name and through His shed blood. 2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him. Note: we belong to God’s family through that name. We invite Christ to come and indwell us and take over the ruler ship of our lives. We repent of our old sins and turn completely from them. We then live, move and have our being in Him.
As it is foretold in the prophets, Jesus Christ, will sit and reign on the throne of David the king. He will rule His earthly kingdom through His servants. Think of the power in His name. He will reconcile to God everyone that comes to Him and believes on His name. He is the holy one and the redeemer of the Jews and gentile believers alike. Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
YOU ARE NOW LIVING IN THE TIME OF THE OUTPOURING OF MY SPIRIT UPON THE EARTH SO EVERY EYE WILL BEHOLD MY POWER AND CONSIDER MY MAJESTY. THIS HAS BEEN ORDAINED BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND I WILL GATHER THE REDEEMED, THROUGH THE SHED BLOOD OF MY SON, INTO MY KINGDOM. HIS NAME IS ABOVE EVERY NAME AND EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW BEFORE HIM. Isaiah 45:23 By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. Romans 14:11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'” Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Paradise was lost through sin, but it is now found through Christ by His redemption of man from sin. Paradise was lost but now is found because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross so that children can be born again unto God. Christ is bringing millions of children to God to have full fellowship with Him. God’s original plan was not lost, but enlarged to include whoever is born of the Spirit of Christ. Romans 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
Consider the power in the name of Christ. He has the power to redeem all of mankind from the curse of sin. His arms of love are wide open for whosoever will believe on him and be born of the spirit of God. Remember, it is a relationship with God the father, Christ the son, and God the holy spirit (as one). They (as one) are all powerful and they extend welcoming hands to all of us to join the family of God through the power of Christ. No one will wonder if he is saved. He will know by the spirit of God that indwells him. You can have as much fellowship with God as you desire because He wants you to know Him and He will reveal himself to you through His spirit.
Psalms 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling – even the LORD, who is my refuge –
God considers that name, Jesus Christ, so powerful that He says for us to ask Him in the name of Jesus and He will give us whatsoever we ask Him. John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
On the rock Christ Jesus, God will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. God also gave us the authority of Jesus Christ through the keys to the kingdom. Matthew 16:15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”……… and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. As the early apostles and believers bound satan and cast him out through the power of Jesus name, so that power remains for the church today. ACT 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Acts 19:14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. Christ has given us those keys and the power in His name will still do the works of Christ through faith. The moral to the scripture above is, don’t cast out evil spirits unless you are endued with that power, and have the right to use that name (Jesus Christ). John 14:13 THERE IS POWER, POWER, WONDER WORKING POWER IN THAT NAME!
Psalms 98:1 Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him John 11:52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.
According to the book of Revelations, this is a scene that is or will take place in heaven. This is the praise and adoration for Jesus Christ and His prophetic role for mankind:
Revelations 5:9 And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” ~Angels Exalt the Lamb 11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” AND WE ALL SAY “AMEN.”
