LAY HOLD OF HIS PURPOSES FOR OUR BEING!
Are you running in a frenzy to accomplish your ambitions and dreams? Perhaps you are running with no compass and no directional map. Do you have a goal that you want to reach before you cross the “finish line?” The only goal worth attaining is found in: Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Verse 12 tells us that God placed His hand on our lives for a purpose and we are to lay hold of His purpose for our being. We are to compress our ambitions and goals into reaching one prize: “The high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” This is God’s purpose for each of us. We must “press on” and God will give us the countless rights and privileges of a child of God.
God’s purpose for your life, and the lives of all He has created, begin and end in the son of God, Christ Jesus. Every one of us begins his life in sin, with a nature fallen in corruption. Christ was sent to destroy sin and raise us up as Holy children unto God. The scripture plainly tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 8:21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew (YOU AND I) H e also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
We must lay hold of God’s grace and live, move, and have our being in Christ. Christ alone is the “way” to achieve God’s purpose for your life. You must live through Christ’s spirit within you. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
At our rebirth in Christ, new life takes place in us. We leave the life of sin and are given a desire to reach “the high calling of God in and through Christ Jesus.” 1John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His (CHRIST’S) seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. Through Christ’s work in us we can meet every standard and purpose God has for us.
Through Christ in us we are perfected daily to conform to the perfect image of Christ. We must walk according to God’s perfect will and purpose for us. Romans 6:19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. ROM 6:22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
Through Christ we have eternal access to the Father. His spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. Ephesians 2:18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
Our blessed hope: Titus 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. The fulfillment of all God’s purposes in our creation will occur when He gathers us all together to forever dwell with Him without the presence of sin. Ephesians 1:9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth — in Him, 11 in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory..
For those who are pressing toward the prize of God’s high calling for their lives, there is very good news. There is a new and powerful anointing flowing from the spirit. He is giving a new vision of His end-time work to those seeking to walk in His divine purpose and will. In my eighty-one years I have never had such a strong anointing as that which started flowing a few days ago and still remains. I had an anointing before, but not the powerful flowing that God reserved for this special hour. These events are a fulfillment of a prophecy I received a few years ago. He said, “Your last days will be your greatest in kingdom works and anointing.”
This message was inconceivable to a woman who is eighty-one and who nearly died a year ago. God spoke as I thought I lay dying and told me he would raise me up in two more nights. Two nights later I began to be able to think clearly, and I regained my senses and my strength gradually has returned. My hands were shaking with palsy, and I could hardly write. Last week the shaking stopped and my writing is normal. Oh, the wonder and glory of it all!
Two mornings ago God said, “The time is ripe and now we must begin to walk forward. You will walk under my guidance and will be directed by my spirit. Shortly many things will come to pass that will not be to your liking or understanding (perhaps He means out of my ‘comfort zone’). You must go forward as I direct. You will be totally under my influence and control.” When I received this message I was awestruck! Then I realized that if what I heard was true, then I should notice the change immediately. John 7:17 “If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I speak on My own authority.”
That very afternoon I noticed an unmistakable change in the power to minister, pray, and write. My mind is totally upon finishing and transacting the “kingdom work” He has called me to do. Through God’s direction I am in the process of publishing a book. I never dreamed or anticipated such an endeavor. I know very well that with God all things are possible!
Believe me when I tell you God is calling out those children who He set apart to go into the “market places of the world.” He is raising up prophets to go and exhort, edify, and comfort those for whom He died. Many will say this is not the time of the prophets, but I tell you they will have God’s words and anointing. John 20:21 Then Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” They are anointed to bring God’s wisdom for the approaching wrath of God on sin and the anger of satan because he knows his time is short. God is in control and His children will not be overcome!
This world is corrupted by sin, and Christ is the only answer. God’s children are going to need a greater enduement of His wisdom, knowledge and understanding to meet future decisions and needs. God will give us everything we need! No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. Proverbs 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. He wrote “the book” and He has all the wisdom and answers. 2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God is not going to let satan have any lasting victory. He is going to turn all evil into good for His faith-filled children. Seeming defeats will be turned into great victory for His namesake and for the glory of His kingdom. You will recognize that the might and glory of His kingdom is among us. Matthew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
The children of God are being awakened and renewed in spiritual power and strength to preach the gospel of the kingdom. We are being readied and stirred for His appearing. John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
There isn’t a place that the spirit of God does not exist or that His voice has not been heard. There isn’t a place that His spirit does not work to convince man of sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. He has all power to protect and send forth His anointed messengers with His message for this blessed generation. God’s truth can and will set the captives free. Satan should be shaking because God’s power is omnipotent, and He has given His children power to cast down principalities and finish the work of His kingdom. Why would God give that power if there weren’t a time and a need to use it? God told us there would be a time of greater power and works than He did on earth. We have all been waiting for that hour to arrive, and dearly beloved, it is here. John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
