LET THERE BE A SHOUT AND PRAISE IN THE CAMP OF THE LORD!

As I prayed this morning, God began to impress upon me that He “inhabits the praises of His children!” There is darkness and gloom everywhere in the world, but there should be love and light shining through the windows of our heart and life. Let there be light, joy, and gladness in the temple of our life!“But You are holy, Who inhabit the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them” (Psalms 22:3-4).

We must desire to put on the garment of praise and worship and choose to give ourselves to being the light and truth of God in the world.  The temple of our being must be totally dedicated to God, purified, and filled with His Spirit.  Our God will put within us His light, love, joy, and peace and all the fruit of His Spirit. We are called and chosen to be used by God for the glory of His kingdom. We must let His light shine through our lives to dispel the darkness of the world. If we “seek” and “ask” Him to increase His light within us, we can become a “beacon!” The world is looking for the light of God’s truth and love in God’s children. We are useless to the kingdom of God when we mirror hopelessness and unbelief. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

We are called to war for the kingdom of God.  Our God wants to return to a people who “love and joyfully look for his appearing!” Many in the world know nothing of the return of our Lord.  We should pray for God’s people to awaken to their duty to make His soon return known and sound the call to be prepared! We must be different from the world to show that Christ makes a difference.

Let the joy of the Lord emanate from our being. Praise God! Our lord gave us the power to overcome this world of tribulation and to be victors over sin and the grave. Many of us have been so quiet about our commitment to God, but the Spirit is calling us to “make our life all about Him!” Will Christ return to a people of sad countenance or to children who are singing His praises and glorifying Him with every breath? There is a time and a season for everything under the sun, and it is time for the world to know we glory in our King and have no other God before Him!! “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name” (1 Chronicles 29:11-13).

Let us pray: “I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, and Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, and all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever” (Psalms 145:1-21).  AMEN.
