From Nobody to Nobility
I entered this life with no hope and no promise of tomorrow. I was bound in chains of circumstances that were insurmountable! Tomorrow held no promises and my days were fraught with major problems that I could never solve. I never knew the existence of perfect love. I had no architect or designer of my future to make my life count. I had no plans of my own that were worthy or mattered to myself or anyone else. I was empty of inspiration. I knew no one to lift me out of the miry clay that bound me hand and foot. That was then, but now everything in my life has changed because I found the Master Designer and Giver of Abundant Life.
One day I was introduced to THE Creator and Designer of all the universe! From afar my eyes had seen the beauty of His creations and everything He has created is “beautiful and good!” I knew I needed His designs in my life, but I did not know His name or how to find Him.
One day I was told His name by someone who knew of His great love and amazing grace. I heard the Spirit of the Master Designer speak within me as my friend spoke of His great love and power to change lives. His Spirit within me said: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to Him and dine with Him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20). I opened the door of my heart and I invited Him in to dwell forever. I knew He loved me with an undying perfect love, and that He had the power to make everything in my life beautiful because of His glorious works and creative power. If only I could express to you the love, faith, and trust that filled my heart as He spoke.
After I met Him, I learned that He is the son of the Master Designer of the universe. His father’s name is God! I gave my life to Christ to be trained to live and work for Him. I wanted Him to re-design my life and to use me in His kingdom work. My name is written in His book of life. I now have found an abundance of life and have received many gifts and blessings that I have never had. He is making me complete and is enabling me to do the works of His kingdom. All of His work in me is to give me words and works that bring forth new life in others. I have a love I never had before. Christ has given me a deep abiding love for the souls of men, and a love to intercede in prayer for others. All of these new works were given to me by God and were new to my soul and spirit. Teaching me how to build up His kingdom. Christ said to me, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for His friends” (John 15:13).
Christ’s credentials are found in the sacred book written by the hand of His father, God. Speaking of His son, Jesus Christ, who is also called the Living Word, He wrote: John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that were made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men” (John 1:1-4). No man, or no man-acclaimed god, owns these credentials but Christ!
So you see, I found the only God powerful enough to give me a “new beginning and a new birth!” He is almighty and possessed the power to recast and remold me into one of His eternal designs. I was immediately given: “…beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3). I CAME FORTH A NEW CREATION!
I have never known such love and caring for everything that concerns me for today and for all eternity! I know that through Christ “all things are possible!” Jesus said to Him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to Him who believes” (Mark 9:23). I heard His voice within me saying, “If you will walk uprightly before me, I will divide with you the good of the land!” He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and everything in the universe is His. He gave me exactly what He promised, an abundant life. I am no longer a pauper and I have a rich inheritance. I began to follow the Master with no idea of how His rulership and designs would change me. I know I never walk alone and I walk in the favor of God! I always try to please Him! I never want to grieve Him. God is good and God is love!
Immediately I knew I was changed from being a victim (of Satan) to an overcomer in all things. All fear, hopelessness, and defeat were gone, and I knew Christ would take care of everything Satan engineered for my destruction. Christ gave me the power not only to overcome, but become stronger after every battle. All Christ required was for me to live in righteousness and give my problems to Him. He supplies everything I need to win in life and in my battles to defeat my enemies. My total dependence is on God and He always protects and cares for me. In every battle I have become a victor! He told me: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
It never was my ability or wisdom that changed me, but it was the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and the anointing power of Christ and the Holy Spirit who gave me victory over all my tribulations and testing. Christ’s father became my father. I was born poor, but now I became rich and had a princely inheritance. I was born in defeat and now I am being groomed to rule and reign with Christ in His kingdom for all eternity.
I have the book of divine instructions, the Bible, and everything I need to know is written there. The Holy Spirit, sent by Christ, is my teacher and guide. Within me there are rivers of living water sent by God to bring the power and strength of God to the nations. The waters continually refresh and enrich my soul.
I am now a part of a divine kingdom called the, “Kingdom of God!” God has assigned me my own guardian angel to protect and help me! I have been given by God His grace and power that follows me every place I go. Christ equipped me to work in His kingdom through the training of His Holy Spirit. My greatest joy in life is to tell the world that “God the father and Jesus Christ are waiting with open arms to welcome ‘whosoever will’ into the eternal kingdom of God!!”
I did not know Him, and He sought me. My heavenly Father drew me with the cords of His love to His Son. He drew me to the place where I heard of His salvation. I answered the call and took Christ as my Savior and my Lord. Since that wonderful day I have been rejoicing in Him for His great blessings, gifts, and anointing for His work. My walk with God has been filled with excitement and real meaning. I have never been disappointed in God! I live in awe of His great love and His works and miracles in my life. My life really began when I gave myself totally to Him for His eternal designs and plans! No created being can design his life to compare with the awesome designs and plans of our omnipotent Creator!
Let us pray: Dearest Jesus, I come to You for Your anointing to bless others. I want to lead many souls to You. Make me a strong light for You in this world. I give myself totally to You and Your kingdom work. Cleanse and purify me and make me the Christian I need to be to do a perfect work for Your glory! Help me to never waste my time or remove my life from Your hands. Amen.
