The Highest Honor Given to Man
Many would define the highest honor given to man to be their rewards for their life achievements and the acclaim of their works by their peers as being outstanding and worthy of honor. The honor that far exceeds anything given by man is TO BE BORN-AGAIN INTO THE ETERNAL FAMILY OF GOD AND TO BECOME GOD’S CHILD. The works of the Supernatural God far exceed the works of the flesh. God’s works are eternal and the works of the flesh shall all pass away. I remember a plaque in a church that read: “Only one life twill soon be past; only what is done for Christ will last!” Scripture confirms that fact! “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19-20).
I have experienced the blessings, miracles, goodness and abundance of life that flow from being eternally united with God through His Son Christ Jesus. God’s power is supplied in the measure that we give our life to Him. I will never forget that day (well over sixty years ago) when I totally gave my life to Christ and God the Father for whatever They chose to do with it. What an awesome day!!!! I knew the direction of my life was changed forever and I was going to live to PLEASE GOD! I no longer had to figure out my future or plan the path to arriving at God’s perfect will for my life. I now was God’s responsibility and my duty was to love Him with all my heart and obey. My life radically changed that day.
I had been a Christian since I was sixteen, but I had not fully understood or given my life totally to God for His plans and purposes. From that very day when God called me to total dedication to Him, God became “No. 1” in my life and I had no gods before Him. That day opened up the fullness and miracles of God and I cannot express the love and gratitude to God that I feel for His special call and gifts. I never foresaw the awesome rewards and opportunities I would receive from total dedication to Him as God’s child!!! DO NOT DENY YOURSELF THE PRIVILEGES AND REWARDS THAT ARE ONLY OBTAINED THROUGH TOTAL DEDICATION TO GOD AND HIS PURPOSES FOR YOUR LIFE. “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him’”(1 Corinthians 2:9).
IT WAS GOOD TO KNOW THAT FROM NOW ON I COULD COUNT ON EVERYTHING WORKING TOGETHER FOR MY GOOD–WHETHER IT BE LIFE OR DEATH, SICKNESS OR HEALTH, TRIALS OR TESTINGS, OR THE ATTACKS OF SATAN AND HIS DESTRUCTIONS. “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). ONE OF THE GREATEST PROMISES IN THE BIBLE IS: Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
There is no greater security in all the world than “God’s seal upon our life!” God’s seal cannot be broken or stolen from us. After we have fully taken Christ as our Lord and Savior and God as our Eternal Father, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of God until the day of our redemption. All the devils in hell can rage and work against us, but the seal of the Holy Spirit cannot be broken by satan. I know from experience that satan and his demons recognize that seal upon us and slink away. Satan and his demons can rage, but they dare not touch!!! The evil one can do nothing against us without God’s permission (for testing purposes) if we are walking in the Righteousness of God. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30).
Everything about God is perfect and all of His gifts are perfect. When we receive a gift from God we are amazed at how perfect it fits into our life and the blessings that flow from it. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Only through God will we ever know and see that which is perfect in every way. In finding and living for Christ, we truly find the “Pearl of great price!” No one can fully understand the power and love of God without experiencing Christ as Lord of his life. Eternal life only begins in Christ. Through God’s Son we find entrance to all of the love and riches that God has set apart for His Children.
Christ is our entrance to the glories of Heaven and God’s glorious kingdom. If you are reading this in unbelief, and you truly would like to experience God’s truth and life within you, God will prove His everlasting truth to you. “If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority” (John 7:17). I invite every skeptic and unbeliever to come and invite Christ and God the Father to dwell in you. It is the Spirit of the Living God that is drawing you to Christ. TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD! INVITE CHRIST TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS AND TO COME AND DWELL IN YOUR HEART FOREVER. HE WILL LEAD YOU AND GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH! GOD IS A FACT THAT CAN BE PROVEN!! HIS SPIRIT IS REAL, AND AT YOUR INVITATION, HE WILL INDWELL YOUR SPIRIT AND MAKE YOU A NEW CREATION. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE THINGS OF GOD, AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SPIRITUALLY DISCERN GOD’S TRUTH.
Pray this prayer with me: Dearest Father God, I want to know the truth and experience Your Spirit dwelling within me. Forgive my sins and make me to understand the deep things of God. May I know You as my dearest friend! Come into my life, teach me, and show me Your eternal salvation. I want to walk and talk with you as my dearest friend and Savior. I want to re-born of Your Holy Spirit. Come into my life, Lord Jesus, and make me forever Yours. Teach me and train me in the way of God. Give me understand of Your Word. I love You and thank You for taking my life and using it for Your glory.
“And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out’” (John 6:35).
NOW MY CHILD, TRUST IN ME AND BEGIN TO READ THE NEW TESTAMENT FIRST–PARTICULARLY THE GOSPEL OF JOHN. SEEK UNDERSTANDING AND SEEK TO KNOW ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND SOUL. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
